From the PA Apple Capital to the Big Apple: Jack’s Hard Cider Takes Manhattan

Jack’s Hard Cider is a homegrown company, as proud of our little corner of the world as can be. We rep Gettysburg pride constantly, telling anyone who will listen about the beautiful, rolling farmland, historic national monuments, budding artists, passionate culinary artisans and, of course, bountiful apple orchards that make this part of Pennsylvania so special.

But just because we’re country mice at heart doesn’t mean that we don’t love a taste of the big city. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that starting this Monday, July 17, we’re launching in New York City! We couldn’t be more excited to introduce our handcrafted, crisp and balanced hard ciders to the people who call Manhattan—and the other four boroughs—home.

Jack’s Hard Cider president Jonathan Patrono says: “New York is a centerpiece of the world—it doesn’t get much bigger. We are honored to be distributed in New York.”

Who’s handling our NYC distribution? The fine folks over at S.K.I. Beer, a wholesale beverage distributor based in Brooklyn that’s been doing it’s own thing for 30 years. With 200 employees and a fleet of 22 route trucks, we couldn’t be in better hands. Ben Goldberg of S.K.I. Beer says, “The team is really excited to have such a high-quality, regional cider available in the city.”

Of course, New York is home to uncountable bars serving all manner of awesome, boozy beverages. But we’re confident that New Yorkers, who are known for their savvy and no-nonsense ways, will appreciate what makes us different. We’re proud to offer cider that is grown from a multigeneration family orchard in the heart of apple country in Pennsylvania. “We grow, press and ferment on-site in our microbrewery to create an all-natural, naturally low-calorie product that we are very proud of,” Jonathan says. Quality is our hallmark (no added sugars here), but we keep our ciders accessible to all at great prices.

To celebrate Jack’s launch in NYC, we’re having two big kickoff events. On Tuesday evening at 6 p.m., we’ll be at the Watermark Bar at Pier 15, right off Wall Street, and on Wednesday night at 7 p.m., we’ll be at Northern Bell in Brooklyn. Please come down and join us to welcome Jack’s Hard Cider to the city!

Fun fact: Did you know that Jack’s Hard Cider is now distributed in 11 cities, plus Washington, D.C.? To find a bar or a bottle shop near you that carries our awesome hard cider, use our handy map finder tool.
